Ricardo, a medical student from Siena, goes on Erasmus during his final year. His destination: Gaza. Never before had a student from outside Palestine been able to study at a university in the country. The Islamic University of Gaza proudly welcomes Ricardo's stay. The young Italian wants to specialise in surgery and write a thesis on injuries caused by explosive bullets. The experience in the Gaza Strip will forever change the way he sees the world and will make him experience first-hand the daily horror that his fellow Palestinian students are forced to endure.
