A Marble Travelogue

Blocks of marble quarried in Greece are shipped by boat to China to be turned into Greek-style sculptures and columns by skilled Chinese craftsmen. The leftover marble is transformed into small souvenirs with fridge magnets and sent back to Greece to be sold to Chinese tourists. Filmmaker Sean Wang constructs a memorable epic story with maddening visual power. A mind-bending journey along the marble route, which is both funny and revealing.
