For two centuries, Chorrojumo, once known as the “King of the Gypsies”, has wandered the streets of Granada in silence. The limbo he inhabits is interrupted by the arrival of Anas, a young Moroccan man searching for his ancestors’ home; together, they begin a quest through the ruins of a city in transformation.
Lucía Selva’s feature film debut portrays a Granada where different timelines converge, an exploration through a wandering of the streets that blurs the line between myth and reality. Following its world premiere at the CPH:DOX festival, the film was honoured with a Special Jury Mention in the NEXT:WAVE section.
The screening on Wednesday the 13th will be followed by the “Gentrificació i cinema: la ciutat en disputa” activity.
