3. Purposes of the processing

  • Respond to inquiries, requests and communications sent through the website or by email.
  • Manage the subscription and sending of the DocsBarcelona newsletter.
  • Manage registrations, accreditations, processes related to Festival and DocsBarcelona Pro activities, and associated services.
  • Manage access to and use of the Docs&Me private area and associated functionalities (including profiles, networking and directories of accredited persons, where applicable).
  • Facilitate communication between accredited professionals within the framework of the festival/professional market networking activities, in accordance with the configuration and conditions of the service.
  • Prevent fraud, misuse of the platform, mass data mining and other unauthorized abusive or automated conduct.
  • Guarantee the technical security of the website and related services.

This functionality is part of the nature of the service in certain programs or accreditations, and is managed within the DocsBarcelona service ecosystem and its linked platforms.

Users must use this information exclusively for legitimate professional purposes related to the festival/market activities, and use for mass extraction, aggregation, resale, automated reuse or unsolicited communications not linked to the festival’s professional activity is expressly prohibited.

If an accredited person or assistant wishes to limit, hide or review the data visible in these spaces/directories, they can request this by writing to info@docsbarcelona.com . PLANETA MED, SLU will assess the request and apply the reasonable measures that correspond in accordance with the configuration of the service, the applicable legal basis and current regulations.

7. Recipients and categories of recipients
In general, the data will not be communicated to third parties, except in the following cases:

  • When there is a legal obligation.
  • When necessary for the provision of services through technological providers who act as data processors (hosting, maintenance, development, support, security, forms, sending communications, management platforms, etc.).
  • When the service used involves external platforms linked to DocsBarcelona’s activity (such as tools for accreditation, private area, attendee management or networking, including integration with Fiona Festival/Docs&Me), to the extent necessary for the provision of the service.
  • When the user makes certain data public in profiles or directories linked to the festival’s professional activity, or these are visible within the corresponding functionality of the service.

These providers may include companies that process data on behalf of PLANETA MED, SLU under a processor or sub-processor contract, including, where applicable, the company responsible for hosting, developing and maintaining the website and/or the Docs&Me private area (for example, New Spirit Studio SL, depending on the scope of the contracted service).

These providers act on behalf of PLANETA MED, SLU and in accordance with its instructions, and do not acquire the status of independent controllers with respect to the purposes of the processing defined by PLANETA MED, SLU, unless the applicable regulations or the specific nature of the service establish otherwise. This does not exclude the legal responsibilities that may correspond to each provider for its scope of action.

8. International transfers
