Awards
All films in the Docs&Cat Section are eligible. This award is sponsored by La Xarxa Audiovisual Local (XAL) and
consists of a €3,000 cash prize and a trophy, granted by the Docs&Cat Jury.
All films in the Official Competition and Official Competition – Visions are eligible. This award, granted by the International Jury, includes a €5,000 cash prize and a trophy.
All documentary short films in the Official Short Film Competition are eligible. Granted by the Short Film Jury, the award includes a trophy and €500
All debut films (including co- directed works) in the Official Competition and Official Competition – Visions are eligible. The award includes €4,000 in VOD rights and is granted by the International Jury.
All films in the Official Competition and Docs&Focus are eligible. Awarded by the 3CAT Jury, this prize consists of €5,000 in broadcasting rights and a statuette.
All films in the Official Competition and Official Competition – Visions are eligible. This award consists of €3,000 in post-production services for the director’s next project. Granted by the International Jury.
All films featured in Docs del Mes 2025 are eligible. The winner is chosen by audiences across a network of 50 screening venues. The award consists of a trophy.
All films in the Official Competition and Official Competition – Visions are eligible. Sponsored by the Catalan Association of Audiovisual Editors (AMMAC), the award consists of €1,500 for the editor. Granted by the International Jury.
All documentaries in the Official Competition, Official Competition – Visions, Docs&Cat Section and Docs&Focus Section are eligible. The winner is the film with the highest audience score. The award includes €1,500 and a trophy.
Eligible are debut feature-length documentaries in the Official Competition and Official Competition – Visions produced in countries participating in the DOC AROUND EUROPE program. Granted by the International Jury, the award consists of €1,000 for the creative team.
All documentary short films in the Official Short Film Competition are eligible. The winner is determined by audience vote and receives €1,000 in equipment rental services provided by 16NOU.
All films in the Docs&Teens Section are eligible. The winner is the documentary with the highest score from the teenage audience.
Documentaries in the Official Competition and Official Competition – Visions that form part of the Reteena Itinerary are eligible for this award. The Reteena Itinerary is a curated selection of documentaries from the festival’s official sections that stand out for their relevance and appeal to young audiences. The award is presented by the Reteena Young Jury.
Eligible are documentaries from the Official Competition and Official Competition – Visions that promote human rights, freedom of expression, and the values of Amnesty International, while demonstrating strong cinematic quality. The award is granted by a jury from Amnesty International Catalonia and consists of a trophy.
Premi Docs Nou Talent – Filmin
Documentaries within the Official Section and the Official Section – Visions that are the director’s first feature documentary (also in case of a co-direction) are eligible for this award. Sponsored by Filmin, with a prize of €4,000 associated with VOD rights and a statuette. Awarded by the Official Jury.

All documentaries within the Official Section and the Official Section – Visions are eligible for this award. Sponsored by Antaviana Films, including €3,000 for post-production services of the director’s subsequent work and a statuette. Awarded by the Official Jury.

All films in the Official Section and Official Section – Visions are eligible for this award. Sponsored by the Associació de Muntadores i Muntadors Audiovisuals de Catalunya (AMMAC), it includes a cash prize of €1,500 for the editor responsible for the film’s editing and a statuette. Awarded by the Official Jury.

Premi DocsBarcelona al Millor Projecte
The DocsBarcelona tribute to non-fiction talent. The Official Jury of DocsBarcelona Industry will select the best project from the Public Pitch, awarding a 4,500€ development prize to support its production journey.

Premi Al Jazeera Documentary Channel Co-production al Millor Projecte de Forum
DocsBarcelona is collaborating with Al Jazeera Documentary Channel to introduce the Al Jazeera Documentary Channel Co-Production Award. The €10,000 award will recognize a project that sheds light on vital issues of our era, particularly those stemming from or related to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Africa, and Asia.
