Miguel Eek

Miguel Eek (Madrid, 1982) is a documentary filmmaker and producer. Graduated from ESCAC with a stay at the Arcada Polytechnic University of Helsinki.

His cinema focuses on social margins, collective memory, and formal experimentation, moving between close observation and film essay. His films, often the result of long-term research and dialogue with the protagonists, displays a style that lies between testimony and political reflection, addressing themes such as identity, gender, historical memory, and cinema as a space for community encounter. Since 2019, he is the Artistic director of MajorDocs Film Fest.
