Three video tapes of life in Gaza from 2001 were recently rediscovered. What started as a search for a former prison mate from 1989, led to an unexpected road trip from the north to the south of Gaza with Hasan, a local guide whose fate remains unknown. A cinematic reflection on memory, loss and the passage of time, capturing a Gaza of the past and lives that may never be found again.

Following the success of A Fidai Film (2024), Kamal Aljafari premiered his newest work, which stands as an essential historical testimony, at the 2025 Locarno Film Festival – International Competition. The film, already honoured with the Europa Cinemas Label at the Swiss festival, secured a double nomination at the 2026 European Film Awards for Best Film and Best European Documentary.

The screening on Sunday the 10th will feature a presentation by Llibreria Finestres Palestina, with Olivia Watson and Júlia Pastor.

The screening on Tuesday the 12th will be followed by the Focus on Gaza activity.
