Ferran Romeu Sunyer is a documentary filmmaker from Barcelona. He studies Film at ESCAC, where he specializes in documentary, and completes his training with a master’s degree in editing at the Met Film School in London.
His work shows an interest in dreamers who live on the margins of society, as can be seen in his first short film, Historias de la Rabassada (2015), with which he receives the award for Best Film in the Premiers Pas section at the Visions du Réel festival, a line of work that continues in his first feature film, Science Fiction (2024), where he further explores characters and realities far from the center. The film was produced with support from the Sundance Institute DFP and premiered at BAFICI. His filmography also includes La Passió de Barcelona (2018), A Day in the Kitchen at Sant Pau (2019), and more recently the documentary Mariana Enriquez: Paranormal Guide to the Costa Brava (2026). His documentaries have been selected at major film festivals around the world.
Writer Mariana Enriquez embarks on a journey along the Costa Brava to explore its most enigmatic corners and write a paranormal guide, confronting ghost stories, myths, and superstitions while revealing, with humor and intimacy, her own obsession with fear and the unknown.
