FestDocsNetwork is born, an alliance of European documentary festivals in which DocsBarcelona is integrated

The network member festivals will premiere two Spanish documentaries every year, from the selection proposed by DocsBarcelona.

Four European documentary festivals, DocsBarcelona, FIPADOC, MakeDox and DOK.fest München, have just launched a strategic collaboration that will establish a back and forth bridge between four European territories: Germany, France, Spain and the Balkans. FestDocsNetwork, promoted and coordinated by DOK.fest München in the year of its launch, will coordinate collaborative activities to strengthen its impact on industry and the audiences, and ensure the internationalization of their respective cinematographies.

The collaboration will allow the annual exchange of at least two documentary films from these territories between the different member festivals of the network, an opportunity that guarantees the premiere of two Spanish productions in these European events of international reference. The network will also facilitate the circulation of directors, professionals and experts for the four festivals (participating in Q&A with the public, master classes, round tables, juries, programming or tutorials) and the exchange of knowledge on the management of these festivals, in order to strengthen the European documentary ecosystem in difficult times.
