The busy Industry Days programme of FIPADOC 2021 will take place online from 18-22 January. DocsBarcelona will be present in some of its activities, as well as in the presentation of the new network of festivals: Doc Around Europe.

Doc Around Europe

The new network Doc Around Europe brings together four relevant documentary film festivals throughout the continent: DOK.fest München(its driving force), DocsBarcelona, MakeDox (Skopje, North Macedonia) and FIPADOC (Biarritz, France), four documentary film festivals from four European regions are joining forces.

The common goal is to promote and circulate European documentary films and experts and to accompany them at all stages of production and in all aspects of distribution, promotion and presentation.

Digital needs rules! at FIPADOC 2021

Should there be binding standards for film streaming in terms of pricing, limitations, exclusivity and revenue sharing? And what can film festivals do to secure the exploitation of films in the future? The session invites international experts to discuss core topics of the current debate. Diego Mas Trelles, head of industry at DocsBarcelona, will participate in this session. And Elena Subirà, head of Institutional Relations & Fundraising at DocsBarcelona, will present the novelties of DocsBarcelona in this aspect.
