Meet the selected projects of DocsBarcelona Industry 2024

We are happy to announce the projects that have been selected to participate in the Industry program of the 27th edition of the DocsBarcelona International Documentary Film Festival. This professional market, which gathers togetheraround 600 professionals each year, will take place from May 6th to May 10th and offers the following spaces:

PUBLIC PITCH & SPEED MEETINGS:

These selected projects will be presented in front of an experts panel made up of the financiers invited in this edition: commissioning editors, funding funds, sales agents, festival programmers and distributors from all over the world. Each selected project will make a live presentation, where it will screen its trailer and receive feedback from the funders. Meet the selected projects here.

SPEED MEETINGS:

These selected projects will meet individually, face-to-face or on-line, for 15 minutes with financiers and other experts. The meetings will be organized in advance and are intended to establish the agreements that will facilitate for the selected projects to soon become films. Meet the selected projects here.

ROUGH CUT:

A selection of 4 non-fiction projects in the state of rough cut will be presented in front of a large panel of funders and industry experts from around the world, interested in projects in this phase. Meet the selected projects here.

NEW TECH PITCH:

The New Tech Pitch will be held for the first time in 2024 and has been organized in collaboration with the Sónar+D Festival. A selection of 4 non-fiction projects that include emerging technologies will be presented in front of a large panel of funders and industry experts from around the world, interested in projects of this type. Projects must use, in one of their production phases, one of the following technologies: AI models, AI-powered tools, VR, XR, AR, web3, blockchain or metaverse. Meet the selected projects here.

New features in the New Tech Pitch Award

Thanks to the collaboration with Sónar+D and Metacampus, the winners of the New Tech Pitch will enjoy two accreditations and a personalized agenda with industry professionals at Sónar+D 2024, as well as an agenda of meetings with investors, thanks to Metacampus.

In addition, all the projects selected to participate in the New Tech Pitch will receive two free licenses to access the Metacampus emerging technologies training platform.
