You were waiting for it! Until November 15th you can submit your documentary to the 27th edition of DocsBarcelona, entering our Festhome space. During the first part of the call, until November 1st, the registration fee will have an Early Bird discount.

The 27th edition of DocsBarcelona is warming up with two very special novelties. The festival moves forward its usual dates and will take place from 2 to 12 May 2024. On the other hand, to the usual categories Docs&Teens, DOC-U, Docs&Honor, three sections are added:

• · Docs&Pearls: competitive section that brings together the best and most recent documentaries from the national and international scene.
• · Docs&Cat: non-competitive section with the best documentaries produced in Catalonia.
• · Docs&Focus: non-competitive section that brings together a selection of documentaries that revolve around the same thematic axis that varies each edition of the Festival.
• · Docs&Honor: selection of the filmography of the filmmaker awarded with the Docs of Honor award of this year's edition.

The selected films will compete for several awards, among them the Best Film Award, consisting of a cash prize of 5,000 €, the Best Catalan Film Award and the New Talent Award - Filmin, consisting of a prize of 4,000 € for VOD rights.
