This is where the memory of a country is built. A collective and swift memory. The Derbi factory is demolished, but the bicycles, the mopeds, the motorbikes of memory haunt us all. Derbis are the economic, social and sporting thermometer of the post-war period, the sixties, seventies, eighties, nineties... A work tool for workers, a means of transport for families, sentimental education and freedom for teenagers. In 2001, the Italian company Piaggio buys the brand, takes over the production and everything else. The factory begins the crumbling path that leads to its collapse in 2021. But motorbikes continue to make memories. This podcast is a collection of memories: the story of Martorelles, the town where Derbi was based, but also that of Catalonia and the world going into the future on two wheels.
