The 10th District Courts

From May to July 2003, Raymond Depardon and Claudine Nougaret were granted special permission to film the hearings of a Parisian court dealing with minor offenses. The result is this unique insight into the workings of the judicial machinery. From a simple citation for drunk driving to arrests for more serious charges, 10th Chamber, (THE 10 TH DISTRICT COURTS), immerses us in twelve stories of men and women who one day found themselves on the wrong side of the law.
