An exhibition space for the students of Cinema and Audiovisual Communication at universities, training cycles and film schools, which will project documentary short films from all over Spain within the programming of the DocsBarcelona Festival.
In addition to presenting their short films, all directors and directors of the DOC-U section will have access to the DocsBarcelona Festival programming, which will be from 18 to 28 May, as well as access to some Industry meetings. They will also be associated with exclusive activities within the framework of the festival, which will be carried out thanks to the help of the ICAA 'Laboratorios e incubadoras'.

The best short film in the section wins the DOC-U Prize, sponsored by 16nou and valued at 1000 € in filming material rent for the next production of the award-winning short equipment and a statuette.
The short winner of the DOC-U Prize will choose to be selected for one or more network festivals Doc Around Europe: MakeDox (North Macedonia), FIPADOC (France) and VERZIO (Hungary), within the respective category of the Short and New talent section. Those chosen projects will have the transportation and accommodation covered for up to two team members, so that they can accompany their work to the other festivals.
