The veteran DOC-U section of the festival receives a new boost in recognition of the quality of the works presented year after year, to promote the internationalization of the works and the professional growth of their creators. All the directors in the selection will present their short films, while taking part in the rest of the Festival and Market activities; in addition to having exclusive growth activities for them.
In this way they will be able to build their professional network, be inspired by the work of other creatives and discover the challenges faced by documentary filmmakers across Europe. The program consists of 7 days of face-to-face and online activities.
On the other hand, the program also puts the focus on internationalization, with 4 scholarships that will take 4 of the local participants to travel throughout 2023 to a European festival, member of the DocAround Europe network (FIPADOC, DokFest Munich, Makedox, Verzio Film Fest, in addition to DocsBarcelona) in order to continue the DocAround Europe DocAround Europe Generation mentoring and growth program.
