Doctor in Audiovisual Communication and Advertising in the field of Audiovisual Studies from a gender perspective. She specializes in Feminist studies in Social sciences, Peace journalism and Educommunication. She dedicates her work as an independent researcher to feminist analysis and criticism of the media, especially focused on film and television series. She is a professor of the Master in Gender and Communication and of the Master in International Health and Cooperation (both from the UAB), and lectures in the area of Feminisms and sexual diversity of the Degree in Social Education from the UOC. She is also part of the Latin American Studies Association (LASA), the Ibero-American Network of Audiovisual Narratives (INAV from its acronym in Spanish) and the Observatory on Information Coverage of Conflicts (OCC) of the UAB. Additionally she is co-coordinator of Acció Estudi at Dones Visuals and research delegate of the Association of women in film and audiovisual media (CIMA).
