Ricardo Íscar has a Law degree from the University of Salamanca. He studied Audiovisual Communication in Madrid and graduated from the DFFB Berlin Film and Television School. Alongside his work as director and cameraman, he also lectures at different Spanish universities in Screenwriting and Documentary Directing, Photography Direction, Film Direction and Audiovisual Culture (mainly at the Pompeu Fabra University, the Blanquerna Faculty of the Ramon Llull University, the University of Barcelona and BAU School of Design) as well as in some Latin American Universities and film schools (Bogotá, Cali, Lima, Atlántida, Buenos Aires). His films have been screened at international festivals such as the Berlinale, Rotterdam Film Festival or the Vienale. In 2016, he founded the production company EL REFUGIO PRODUCCIONES.
