Quim Ruiz

Currently retired. Unfinished studies of Biology and Pedagogy. He studied public management at ESADE and at the Center for Cultural Studies and Resources of the Diputació de Barcelona. He had a brief stint in the graphic arts, as an editor and layout artist for magazines and poster design. He has worked in local public administrations (Diputació de Barcelona and Barcelona City Council, Esplugues, Sant Boi and Sant Just Desvern). From a young age he has been involved in political and social activism in different organisations, often related to the environment. He has been a member of Amnesty International Catalonia for over 30 years and acted as treasurer and secretary of the Executive Committee.
