Pedro Speroni

Pedro Speroni is a scriptwriter, film director and producer. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1987. In 2015 he made his first short film Pilgrimage, which premiered at BAFICI 2015. In 2021 he made his first feature film Rancho selected for Berlinale Talents. It had its national premiere at BAFICI 2021, where it won the award for best first film, and its international premiere at the Sheffield DocFest international competition. It was also selected for the Guadalajara film festival, SEMINCI, 3 Continents festival, International Film Festival Entrevues Belfort – Audience feature film award-, among others. In 2023, his feature documentary will have its international premiere at the Visions du Réel international competition. He is currently developing his next documentary Sisters, about the life of a group of women deprived of their freedom in a maximum-security prison in Argentina.
