Habana, Cuba, 1978. She graduated in Film Direction from the International Film School in Cuba and got a Bachelor Degree in Theater Direction from the University of the Arts of Cuba. She’s been living and working in Spain since 2003. She has produced and directed several creative documentaries, as well as working as an editor for other productions. Her latest documentary “In a Whisper” received the Best Documentary Award at IDFA 2019, Best Documentary Direction at the Malaga Film Festival 2020, and Audience Award at Documenta Madrid 2020, among others. She recently decided to set up Free Hundred Media, an audiovisual production company based in Madrid. She is a member of the DOCMA Board of Directors.
