Marta Segarra is Professor of Gender Studies at the University of Barcelona, and Research Director at the Laboratoire d’Études de Genre et de Sexualité-LEGS of the French National Center for Scientific Research. She is also a researcher at ADHUC- Center for Theoretical Research, Gender, Sexuality at the UB. Her research is mainly in the fields of gender and sexuality studies, biopolitics and posthumanism, and cultural studies. She has published several books: The World We Need (with Donna Haraway, 2019), Teoría de los cuerpos agujereados (2014), L’habitació, la casa, el carrer (2014), among others. She curated the exhibition Choreographies of Gender at the CCCB in 2019. She writes regularly for the newspaper Ara.
