Luis Ortas Pau

Director

He studied film in Los Angeles, UCLA and worked for various productions in Hollywood. Since then, he has worked as a director and producer of documentaries, series, commercials, short films, video art and experimental installations. In 2001, he co-directed the film Mar de Fang around the work of Miquel Barceló in the Cathedral of Palma de Mallorca. In 2007 he created the production company Cinética Producciones. He has served as member of the board of directors of the Association of Producers of the Balearic Islands and also on the CLAB Audiovisual Cluster, of which he was a founding member. He has also participated in the Audiovisual Advisory Council of Mallorca and the Arts Council of the Palma de Mallorca City Council. He has taught audiovisual narrative for more than 15 years at the MAISCA of the UIB, as well as at Master in Animation Films of the Pompeu Fabra University and the CAU of the CESAG. He is currently the president of the Association of Filmmakers of the Balearic Islands of which he was a founding member.
