Laura Plancarte

Laura Plancarte lives and works in London, in filmmaking and other art practices. In 2006-07, she was awarded by BNP Paribas in recognition to her artistic career. She’s also been sponsored by La Colección Jumex, La Fundación del Centro Histórico, UNAM and Jalisco’s Art Council. Her documentary Hermanos won SAFF 2018 Audience award and was acquired by Amazon Prime. Non Western premiered at VdR 2020 and was also selected for IDFA's 'Best of Fests’ and subsequently acquired by Prime. Sueño Mexicano is a hybrid film created in collaboration with the protagonist.
