Garbiñe Ortega is a film curator from Spain. Her practice focuses on curatorship, education, building audiences, and the creation of specific frameworks that amplify collective cinematographic experience. Her curatorial work has been programmed internationally at Film Society of Lincoln Center (New York), Tate Modern (London), Film Museum de Viena, National Gallery of Art (Washington) and Pacific Film Archive (California), among others. She was the co-director of programming at Ambulante, Mexico (2015). She edited the books Correspondencias (2018), To light, to love, to time: Jonathan Schwartz (2019), Meditaciones sobre el presente: Ute Aurand, Helga Fanderl, Jeannette Muñoz, Renate Sami (2020) and Cartas como películas (2021). She teaches at Elias Querejeta Zine Eskola (San Sebastian) and ESCAC (Barcelona). Currently, she is the artistic director of the festival Punto de Vista.
