Ferran Romeu Sunyer is a filmmaker from Barcelona. He studied film and documentary at ESCAC and at the Met Film School in London. His first film, "Historias de la Rabassada" (2015), was recognized with the Best Film award in the Premiers Pas section of the Swiss festival Visions du Reel in 2016. His work demonstrates an interest in dreamers who live on the fringes of society, as can also be seen in his debut feature film, "Science Fiction" (2024), produced with the support of Sundance DFP. He is the author, among other works, of "La Pasión de Barcelona" (2018), as well as "Un día en la Cocina del Sant Pau" (2019), a short film portraying the team of Catalan chef Carme Ruscalleda. His work has been showcased at festivals such as Visions du Réel, Docs Barcelona, Makedocs, San Francisco DFF, Bucharest International DFF, among others. Currently, he is a documentary professor at ESCAC (2018-2022) and a film editing professor at Elisava.
