Àngel Leiro

He began his career in Spanish Television in 1982. In 1984 he joined the founding team of Televisió de Catalunya (TV3).

He specializes in musical and cultural programs, making specials and documentaries with Joan Manuel Serrat «D'un temps d'un País», Jarabe de Palo «Realidad o sueño"», Vieja Trova Santiaguera «El final no llegará» among many others.

He is also responsible for documentary series on the Cançó Catalana, Flamenco or Fotojournalists. He has directed numerous documentaries, among them: «Portraits of the Soul», reunion of the photojournalist Sandra Balsells with protagonists of the Balkan War. «Xavier Vinader, Periodista, contra la guerra sucia», the first journalist sentenced to seven years in prison in democracy for denouncing the dirty war of the Spanish state. «Benvenutto Mr Gilliam» follows up on Terry Gilliam's opera Benvenuto Cellini at the Gran Teatre del Liceu. «Postwar Album», the photojournalist Gervasio Sánchez returns to Sarajevo where, 25 years earlier, he photographed life and death during the siege of the city.
