Amets Arzallus

Amets Arzallus. Born in Hendaia in 1983. He is a journalist and Bertsolaritza improviser. His main professional activity is Bertsolarism. He won the national championship of the Basque Country in 2013 and was runner-up in 2009. He has also won the provincial championship 7 times. As a journalist, he has collaborated in the main Basque-language media (Egunkaria, Berria, Euskadi Irratia, ARGIA).

In the audiovisual sector, he has participated in the documentary BERTSOLARI by Asier Altuna as editor and protagonist, in the series ZAI ZOI BELE as narrator, and in the documentary MUGAMINAK by Xuban Intxausti. In 2002 he received the Rikardo Arregi Prize Journalism Award for his collaborations in Euskadi Irratia.
