This workshop is a foray into archive materials and how to include them in the production of documentaries, as well as an insight into the work of the audiovisual researcher throughout the process. We will discover how archive footage enriches, encourages creativity and reduces the environmental footprint of many audiovisual productions.
We will familiarize ourselves with the management of film, photography, document and audio rights, addressing the challenges that may arise in using them legally, safely and creatively, and providing some tips to not destabilize the budget.
The workshop combines theory with real cases in films, documentaries, series, advertising and museum projects. It is especially aimed at directors, producers, scriptwriters, documentary makers, archivists and audiovisual professionals who want to specialize in this field.
