Synopsis

A moving first-person account of the vicissitudes of a mother learning to live with her daughter Penelope's autism spectrum disorder. Claire Doyon's brutal honesty in filming Penelope's development puts us in the shoes of a mother forced to accept an unexpected reality. An ode to empathy filled with nuances and contradictions. The doctors’ insensitivity contrasts with the healing effect of animals and nature to calm Penelope's anxiety. A moving story filmed from the heart: the camera allows Claire Doyon to come to terms with Penelope's indescribable world.
