Ida Joglar

Director

Ida Joglar is a filmmaker and editor based in New York City, working across genres to find the best way to tell each story.

In 2009 she relocated to New York City, where she completed her MFA in Photography, Video and Related Media at the School of Visual Arts.

Recently, her first feature, Kili Big (2021), a documentary about a group of plus-sized women attempting to carve space for themselves in the outdoor community, premiered at Geena Davis’ Bentonville Film Festival where it won the Jury Award for Best Documentary Feature, going on to play at renowned film festivals such as Heartland, Tallgrass and Montclair.

In the narrative space, she has written and directed several short films as well as collaborated with directors, editing shorts as well as feature films Keep In Touch (2015) and Babysitter (2015).

Ida’s commercial work includes mainly short form documentary-style videos for clients including SeaLegacy, Only One, Vice Sports, Planned Parenthood and Dior.
