Synopsis

A brave and necessary film on trans-sexuality in childhood and pre-adolescence, which teaches us that diversity, as Nacho Vidal says, feeds the world. At the age of six, Ignacio said to his parents, “I'm a girl, my name is Violeta”. After the initial shock, Violeta's parents decided to accompany her on the long and difficult road that will someday lead her to become a woman. Violeta, like many other transgender boys and girls, faces many medical and legal challenges. Although the social perception towards transgender people in Spain is slowly moving towards a more open and tolerant view, the process is often far from easy and there is still a long way to go.
