Four selected projects at rough cut stage will be pitched online in front of a panel of commissioning editors, film funds, sales agents and documentary experts.

Each project will have a 15 minute presentation, and there will be questions and answers with the financers for 10 minutes. Financers will haveprevious access to the project’s materials, including the trailer and a selected scene.

Previously, participants will have an online consultancy with a tutor to prepare the Pitch.

Development awards

Aware of the great struggle the industry is going through in these difficult times, this year DocsBarcelona wants to acknowledge the effort made by all the projects going ahead despite the adverse circumstances, and will therefore grant the Music Library Award, with a cash prize of €1,000 and a flat music license fee valued at €295

DocsBarcelona will communicate the results to both the selected and not selected projects on March 25th and the selected projects will be able to make their payment until March 31st.

The activity will be online and in English.

The DocsBarcelona 2021 industry activities will take place between 24th and 28th May. The dates and times will be announced soon.
