The Public Pitch in an online event where a selection of 10 projects will be presented in front of a large panel of commissioning editors, financiers and sales agents, festival programmers, distributors, and other film professionals from all over the world. Each selected project will have the opportunity to do a live presentation and receive feedback from the experts.

The selected projects will also have 15-minute speed meetings with financers and decision-makers. The meetings will be arranged beforehand by matching financers and projects’ needs. They will take place over 2 days and the schedule will be adjusted to the different world time zones.

Selection process

An international selection committee will evaluate the international potential, quality and cinematographic approach of the project. Furthermore, the committee will also focus on the theme of the documentary presented to ensure thematic diversity. The CV of the director, producer and production company will also be taken into consideration. DocsBarcelona is looking for experienced filmmakers and also for new talents.

The activity will be online and in English.

The industry activities of DocsBarcelona 2022 will take place between the 23rd and 27th of May.
