The Public Pitch is an online event where 10 projects will be presented in front of a large panel of commissioning editors, film funds and sales agents from all over the world. Each selected project will have the oportunity to do a live presentation and receive feedback from the financiers and decision-makers.
The selected projects wil lhave 15 minute one-to one-private online meetings with financers and decision-makers. The meetings will be arranged previously by matching financers and projects’ needs. They will take place over 2 days and the schedule will be adjusted to the different world time zones.
Workshop
All projects participating in thePublic Pitch will receive training with international tutors in order to improve their project presentation.
What projects can be submitted?
Documentary projects in a development, pre- production, production or close to start postproduction, from any nationality and about any subject.
Development awards
Aware of the great struggle the industry is going through in these difficult times, this year DocsBarcelona wants to acknowledge the effort made by all the projects going ahead despite the adverse circumstances, and will therefore grant the Public Pitch Award, with a cash prize of €2,500.

Submission and deadlines
Before submitting your project, please read the guidelines.
You can submit your project for the Public Pitch until Thursday February 25th at 1pm (UTC / GTM + 1). Registration costs 12.10€ (21% VAT included).
DocsBarcelona will communicate the results to both selected and non-selected projects on March 19th and selected projects will be able to make their payment until March 24h.
The activity will be online and in English.
The DocsBarcelona 2021 industry activities will take place between 24th and 28th May. The dates and times will be announced soon.
